Wooddy, I appreciate you brigning this to our attention and let's get your video recording back to normal so you can save your memories. When did this issue start? Any changes to the device recently, sofware, apps, etc.?

This began last week, I would say the 18th or 19th. I'm not aware of any changes to software, no updates have shown up.
What I did find was if I waited for about 1 minute for the video to "save" it would show up in my gallery. Since videos have always saved almost immediately, I didn't know I was leaving the video screen too soon. While waiting this long is certainly not ideal, at least they are now showing up. I would still consider this a defect.
Thanks for your response,

I am a big video/picture taker with my device too. I am confident that we will get this resolved. Have you done a soft reset? http://vz.to/1SOT31X If not, let's remove the battery and restart the device.

Yes, I have restarted and powered off, leaving it for 10 minutes or so. This did not resolve. I have not removed battery, but will try that now.

Wooddy,
Perfect, Wooddy. Getting your device to save videos quickly again is important. Let me know what happens once you have removed the battery and restarted the device. I am confident this should fix the issue.

Thanks for being so quick to respond, greatly appreciated. Videos are saving, but it's as before. It takes about 30 seconds to save. So, really what's been happening , to reiterate, I wasn't waiting for my previous videos to save, so I was incorrect in saying they weren't saving, they WOULD have saved before, if I had waited for the unusually long time for this Samsung to process. So now the question is; why is it taking so long? I have 5.6 gig space left, I'm using 28.7 mg for pics and videos, if that helps. Thanks again!

That's an excellent question, Wooddy. The speed can vary between devices. Do you have any applications running in the background that could be slowing it down?

You can try a system cache clear (will not delete any data files, but will help to speed things up). Here are the steps:
