Viewing video on my tv HELP!!

I have a Samsung smart tv.

I have a SG4 phone.

So I recorded a video on my phone and want to show it on my tv but not sure how.

What I have tried:

I plugged a LAN cord up to tv.

I plugged my phones usb cord into the tv and selected usb and then media however it will not show my video or my pictures.

how do you get your TV to show your videos or pictures?

again my tv is a smart tv and it does have internet (not wifi but LAN).

Well, what I can provide will be a little limited because we can troubleshoot the device, but you may need to check with the TV manufacturer to see what needs to be done with the TV so you can watch that content on the big screen.

With that being said, you should be able to follow these steps for the phone to "screen mirror"

Use the Screen Mirroring feature to share media files on your

phone with an HDMI device such as an HDMI tv.

(Note: This feature requires an optional AllShare Cast dongle

accessory. See your Verizon Customer Service

Representative for more information.)

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings

then touch Connections ➔ Screen Mirroring.

2. Connect the AllShare Cast dongle to the HDMI device

using an HDMI A-to-A cable.

3. Press Menu ➔ Help for Screen Mirroring help

You can download a DNLA server program such as Mezzmo for your PC. Your smart TV should be able to connect to your phone when you use the Gallery app and choose the DNLA server as an output for viewing your video files.

You can also try settings. Then connection. Nearby devices. Turn on Nearby devices Allow your TV when it asks what devices to allow. Then use the gallery app and output to the TV..
