Voice mail notification and text notification

I don't see a way to have one notification for a voice mail and a different notification for a text message. Is this possible on the Samsung GSlll? If not, sort of ridiculous considering any other cheaper, older phone can do this.

You should be able to change your text message notification via that app's settings menu.

I know how nice it would be to have two different sounds for voicemail and messaging notifications.  That way you would know what you just received based on the sound you heard.

At this time the only options you have for the S3 is to change the device ringtone and the notification alert.  Both voicemails and messages and considered notifications so they would indeed play the same sound when they come through. There might not be any way to do this through the OS, but you can download 3rd party apps through the Play Store that accomplish exactly what you're looking for.
