Voice mail notification missing

Two Note 4s in this family, and the voice mail notification does not work on either one. I have tried everything that I could find on the internet, and nothing works. It has been this way for a few months, and it is getting to the point where it is a problem. I've missed several voice mails over the last month.

Anything that can be done to fix this?

Do you have the Verizon Voice Mail app and are you using basic visual voice mail?

I am using basic voice mail. I do not have the voice mail app.

Look under apps for "Voice Mail" if you have the note 4 seems like it would be pre-loaded, but perhaps not. If not you can download it in the google play store. It's free and acts as another form of getting your voice mails and hopefully will allow for notifications to pop up.

There's no way to get them to display without yet another app loaded?

I just know the app has its own notifications, so am hopeful that it will sort out your issue.
