It's best to never let it run down below 25%. Letting it go down to 0% will shorten the life of the battery by decreasing the number of charging recycle times it has. Short charging times are much better for the battery than long ones. This is why wireless charging is so popular, you don't have to mess around with plugging wires into your phone to get charged more frequently/

Agree with Klue, with modern lithium technology, never run your battery down, and more frequent short charges are better than full cycles. i would agree, don't usually let it go below 25%.

i run it to 15%, turn it off & use the wall charger.

After five years, my HTC Thunderbolt extended battery still holds a charge for 18+ days and gets run down to 3-10% remaining before it is plugged in. Granted it is always in airplane mode and acts as a glorified alarm clock most days.
