What are these icons?

My Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge+ intermittently has two icons I don't recognize in the upper left corner:

Numbering them 1 2 3 4 5 6 from the left, 2 means Screen Shot Taken, and 4, 5, and 6 I also understand. But numbers 1 and 3, I don't understand.  Number 3 seems to be a Google app, since it includes what looks like a Google G.  These two icons seem to come and go at random.  They aren't in the Icon glossary in the phone's Help.  Does anyone recognize them?

Related question: I already have the temperature displayed on another area of my home screen via a weather widget.  I don't need it also up in the left (number 5.)  But I can't figure out how to get rid of it there.

Telemachus, we want you to understand the status bar icons. Have you downloaded 3rd party applications to your device? Some applications will alert you with icons on the status bar.

Yes I've downloaded apps and those icons are probably connected with them. The problem is I can't tell which apps the icons are connected with or what it means that they're displayed.

Swipe down from the taskbar/status bar icons.  You should see a list of notifications, and then figure out which notification matches which icon.
