The interruption mode is less customizable than the old blocking mode. I Do not want all of my favorites to be included. Old one let you choose who to include..

Me too.

Please bring it back!

Same thing has been happening to me and I work a late 2nd shift with most everyone calling during my daytime sleep. I do NOT like the new update part of the old blocking mode. I WANT THE OLD BLOCKING MODE BACK!! I figured out about the "sound and notifications" and "interruptions", but I can't seem to be able to set it like I had it before - with no one interrupting me if need be except the people I choose. PLEASE, PLEASE, PUHHHLLEAAASEEE bring back the old blocking mode. Something new is NOT better in this case! Smiley Sad

I agree with tenschi. I ONLY want to block a couple people,  it's just  cr**p. We should had have the no I don't like where society is heading and it starts with things like this. Where decisions are made for us. its a bunch of bulls***t!!!

Agent is available in the Play store Agent - do not disturb & more - Android Apps on Google Play

Which has a nice Sleep mode where you can configure start/stop times each day, only start after plugged in, and only have so much time of inactivity.  You can also specify who you want to be able to get through text/phone and even setup response text that makes the person send back a specific text to force ring you phone.  Can also make it ring if same caller calls back multiple times.  I disable all the other features (parking, battery, meeting) because I don't need them.  I have used it for years and been very happy with it.

if turn down your volume, when it gets to vibrate, release the volume button and press again will put in "No Interruptions" mode.

It isn't a solution that works for eveyone but for some it has worked.  How about turning off Google Location Reporting and Google Location History for a day to see if that helps, my S4 would die quickly when those were enabled.

It's still there, it's just hidden. Go to Google Play and do a search for an app called QuickShortcutMaker. Then create a new "Activities" widget and do an incremental search for "blocking mode."

You could install an app like truecaller or mr number to block calls and texts from selected numbers, from within the built-in Phone app you can block calls, but texts I'm not sure other than muting conversations or installing a 3rd party text app.
