When I am connected to my home wifi, it says I am connected but the 4G icon doesn't go away. How can I make that go away when I am connected?
When I'm at my home, and on my Wifi, my 4G icon on my LG G2 is still present. No big deal. If the bits can flow via WiFi, that's what they'll do.
You might try (if you really MUST shut off the cellular radio):
Settings, Network Connections and More networks. Select Mobile Networks and uncheck Mobile data and data roaming.
Not sure if that will work - but give it a try.
Or slide down the notification shade and tap the Mobile Data toggle to turn it off.
Cool. If that's possible. Yeah do that. :smileyhappy:
Ahh, the notification shade on my phone has an Edit button. With that, I can add Mobile Data. So, yeah - do as Tikibar1 suggests.
The icons remain there when on wifi, but if you look at the arrows, only the wifi is active, unless you do something that requires mobile data, such as texting. At least that is what I have heard.
From what I've found, it still displays no matter what you do. I've had it where it says my WIFI is connected (it will say now connected to: and then have your wifi name. I don't think there is a way to erase the 4G logo from the top corner, but as long as there are no arrows underneath of the 4G logo (meaning sending and receiving) I wouldn't worry about it.
If you turn mobile data off the symbol stays but will turn dark and the arrows will go away.
