Hello,
I tried to get contact support but was unable to chat with anyone. I'm hoping someone from Verizon will answer this post as I'm sure I'm not the only one with this question. I am wondering when Knox is coming to the Note 3? I am trying to do some testing with my company and I am unable to without Knox. I know it is already available on other carriers so if someone could please tell me a date that would be great.
Thanks,
Pete

Yes, it's supposed to be available but from what I read Verizon had disabled it.
Anyone from Verizon care to comment? It would be great to get some answers on this.
Thanks.

Does anyone know how to contact Verizon support in writing? I tried to chat but was unable to with both Chrome and IE 11. I then tried to call them about this yesterday and had a terrible experience with phone support. I was disconnected/rerouted twice so I had to start the conversation all over again. When I was finally able to speak with someone they said Knox isn't an application. When I insisted it was and mentioned this site: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/howtoguide/N0000006/13451/160961 they called Samsung. The Samsung rep said I should do an update and then I would have it. I did the update and still don't have it. I called back Samsung and they said this is something that Verizon is restricting from the phone.
So, Verizon, do you know when this will be added to the Note 3?

The correspondance address is available in the Contact Us link above.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Yep, that's a ton of useful information JohnB! However and to the OP's question after reading those documents I'm still not sure if Knox is enabled with the Note 3 on Verizon and if not then are the various Knox processes such as KLMS Agent and KNOX Notification Manger being utilized? It seems like there were many more KNOX related processes before the last OTA. Personally it doesn't matter to me if we have it or not I just want to make sure my Note 3 is optimized as well as can be.

Sorry about the confusion, JRAHNBO2. According to the information available from Samsung at https://www.samsungknox.com/en/knox-supported-devices, KNOX is supported on the Note 3. You can visit https://www.samsungknox.com/en/knox-consumer for the steps you'll need to install Samsung's application. If you need further assistance with KNOX, please reach out to Samsung directly at https://www.samsungknox.com/en/contact.
Thank you

Jennifer,
Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, this does not work. According to the install steps at https://www.samsungknox.com/en/knox-consumer I am supposed "Tap on the KNOX Icon available in the apps screen of your device." Unfortunately there is no KNOX app. I have contacted Samsung support and they said this is something Verizon must have disabled or forgot to include. Is there a way to escalate this thread to a KNOX specialist in Verizon? Something was disabled by Verizon but it seems that no one knows how or why.
I am seriously considering returning this phone because this feature is missing.
Thanks again for the response.

Its weird because there are Knox processes running as can be seen from application manager. How to either make use of or get rid of them is the question...

It's integrated into touchwiz. You can't get rid of it. Are you guys sure you didn't hide the icon?

Knox is integrated with touchwiz. I don't see why the apk would be left out for any reason. Would have been friendlier if it wasn't included to remove the libs too.

I hope this link works: http://youtu.be/kBcm9cYqczU
All the stuff in that guy's video...we have none of it or at least I know I don't have it. Yet I still have Knox processes running. Why? I don't know. I'd like to know. Seems the Samsung App store also blocks out anything to do with Knox from us.

That's why I find it strange. Seems pointless to leave the libs in there if Knox apk is not present. I know it's integrated with Touchwiz which makes me think it wasn't intentional. However it could be due to some changes the Verizon version may had it removed temporarily due to some bug of some sort. My Note 3, Note 2, and S4 have a Knox error message, and I never set it up once on any of them(various carriers other than Verizon).

Strange is the right word for it. Verizon will point to Samsung who says yeah, the Note 3 has Knox just click this icon which we don't have. Verizon says hey look at all this great documentation then go to the Samsung site which tells you how to install it with the app icon that doesn't exist. I feel like I just bought some magic beans.

I agree. I'd just like some answers. If anyone from Verizon can comment as to if/when KNOX will be available it would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I have at least an answer that makes sense from Samsung. Called today in hopes to get Knox on my GN3. I was told by Verizon, that they have NO idea why its not there, but they know for a fact that its a Samsung issue. Called Samsung and here's what they said. Knox will NOT be available on any Verizon Samsung phone from the GN3 forward. Verizon has decided to break partnership with Samsung Apps and has blocked the majority, if not all moving forward. With that being said, it makes the most sense, since the GN3 is the newest phone. But truth? Well, you be the judge....or at least we will have to wait and see if its on the GS5 on GN4 in the future.

If that's true curtdog then its mind boggling why someone from either company hasn't already said such in an official press release or something. I'm not sure how Verizon could break ties with all Samsung Apps though since they're sort of required to run our phones and the last thing I'd want to see is Verizon trying to make their own apps and push them out. No offense to VZW but they do a pretty poor job with apps in general. Many of the apps that make the GN3 useful are Samsung Apps and it looks we're dependent on the Samsung App store to keep them updated. Who knows? I could probably call 5 times to each company and get 10 different answers.

I agree. Very frustrating. Curtdog, thanks for the update. I guess we will just have to wait and see, which is ridiculous.
