Installed the update today and so far the mic icon is gone from keyboard on message app. It is also not responsive to setting default apps or changing configurations is seems.
Galaxy 6 Edge
OK so here is what I found. This software after installation changed some of my settings. I had found that the update turned off my permissions to the microphone and a few other items in the Messages plus app. After turning back on the permissions to the microphone, I could then click and hold the gear icon on the keyboard in Messages plus. Once I did that a small menu displayed this time showing the microphone icon on it so I selected it. It now works. Remember I had to go into application settings for the messaging plus application and turn on the permissions to the microphone. In addition to microphone, camera and contacts were also off as well. After I rebooted (not sure I needed to do that) I was able to see the microphone icon and add it back to the keyboard as described above.

I must of missed it but it doesn't say anything about messaging or changes to keyboard. hmm
I upgraded to marshmallow earlier today on my s6, and I still have the microphone icon in Message+. I searched around a little to see if there was an option to turn it off or on, and didn't see anything.
