There is no Samsung Smart Manager App on phone. This is a neat utility that was promoted with the Samsung Galaxy S6. It's not in the Samsung Galaxy Apps or Google Play store

Like the download booster on the S5, it'll come with a later update more than likely

I checked with both Verizon and Samsung Support. Verizon support said not supported and no date when will be made available. Samsung said Verizon and AT&T chose not to include it with pre-loaded apps.
Bummer as was one of cool apps touted for S6.

It is included on the phone, however there is no way to access it that I've found. You can find it under Application Manager - ALL. Scroll down to Smart Manager and select it, you will find that the app is running but we are cannot access it and the DISABLE button is grayed out. My guess is that Verizon wants us to use their My Verizon Mobile app instead of Smart Manager. I heard that AT&T did the same thing.

Did Smart Manager turn on/off mobile data as a feature within the app? If so, then Verizon did disable the app just like the stock Mobile Data switch in LG 5.0.2.

Interesting. Sure enough, it's there but it's disabled by Verizon. Wonder why. Anxious for someone from Verizon to respond.
I looked at Verizon's My Verizon, but it's not the same functionality

Verizon uses FamilyBase, a paid service to monitor and control data and data radios. I have read where apps no longer have permissions needed to turn on and off mobile data radios any longer. That was a Google decision. Though, disabling the stock data manager was not a Google idea. That was Verizon. Any manufacturer's built-in feature is also disabled by Verizon. Verizon claims that FamilyBase is the only option to control data use or radios on phones with 5.0+. (of course you can still tap the data button to turn on/off mobile data, but it is not automated)

Verizon. Appreciate a response to this question. It is a nice application so curious as to why not being used and alternatives.
