Why are email messages disappearing from Samsung Galaxy S6?

Besides inboxes now empty, IF I get an email it disappears before I can even read it. HELP, PLEASE.

I got my phone a few months ago.  Set up emails and other stuff.  All was working fine until several days ago when 2 email inboxes (att.net & voyager.net aka Core.,com) were empty (gmail.com is okay so far).  The problem then got even worse so that now I rarely get emails on my phone (although I get a lot of emails) and when I go to look at them, it just vanishes.

I followed your suggestion, removed and added my email accounts back.  It's working so far & will certainly return seek the wisdom of you and other Community members if/when needed.

Have you tried removing the e-mail accounts and then adding them back?

I'm dreading doing that but may have to unless there's some other fix to try.  I did check all my email settings and they're all correct.  Also went through the Verizon troubleshooting stuff to no avail . . .  Thank you for your suggestion and insight!

We want you to be free to access your email.  If there is troubles accessing your email that would be an indication that the item has not been set up on your phone as required by your ISP. I would suggest contacting them regarding this for the best way to get this resolved.

IT HAPPENED AGAIN,  I tried all of above (i.e., removed and added my email accounts back last night) and it seemed to be working okay last night.

This morning, AGAIN MY 2 EMAIL INBOXES (att.net & voyager.net aka core.,com) were empty (gmail.com is okay so far).   Since I noticed missing emails on my computers when this happened a couple days ago, I deleted both of email accounts on my phone and am now without email ability (except gmail.com so far).  Other 2 accounts are POP3 and I did have the boxes checked NEVER DELETE emails from server.


HELP, I need my 2 email accounts working on my phone as I can't drag my laptop around;  and, I'm also having laptop troubles.

You might try adding those e-mail accounts to your gmail app, i.e.,

Add an account to Gmail (Android) - Gmail Help

Or use the ISP-specific app:

AT&T Mail - Android Apps on Google Play
