Why can't we rollback to before Lollipop update? I hate the phone since the update!!! This update is horrible!!!

I am very upset and disappointed with the update. It change the format of colors and keyboard completely and no options to customize. I have not had application problems yet but am sure they are to come. We should get the option of rolling back to previous version!!!!

Rolling back would require the download and install of the old OS, for which, when there is a new OS being pushed through the network doesn't handle that much new and re-push of old OSs well. Having even more fragmentation of OS versions creates suffering in the tech support world and in the app dev world. Going backwards with technology is just something that isn't normal. I know you'll say the update was a step back, but right now you speak of aesthetics only, not technology. If everyone could choose their OS version, there would be so many phones and apps not working for so many customers that the chaos would be too much. Besides, some old version don't work on new phones and vice versa. Same thing as with computers and their OSs.

I can't agree it is esthetics and believe me there is suffering in the end user world currently. It is not a matter of choosing an OS it is a matter of having one that works as good or better than the previous. A phone that now has repeatedly locked up, prevented apps from running, runs slower than my old Droid 3 is totally unacceptable. With all of the complaints why is there nothing that can be done other than lip service and statements of - sorry this is the new way! I used to be very satisfied with the Android OS, with such an unreliable phone with the poor operation of Android OS, now am ready to move to iPhone.

Go back in time and read complaints each time the OS had a major overhaul...not just incremental updates, but large ones.

Sure, everyone factory resets as a last step, but they forget to disabled app/app data backup.

The reasons for disabling app data is due to the fact that DAVLIK is now ART and the Android Optimization process might not go as planned if you just slap the new OS over the old OS. Also, when you go back to the Play Store to download apps, they will be the correct version this time for this OS.

Samsung wrote the code to prevent rolling back of the OS. To do so by any method would void the warranty.
