Why do my notification lights do not work after the software update?

Ever since I downloaded the most recent software update, on May 27th, my LED lights next to the front face camera no longer work.  I have different colors set for different notifications, and I want them back.  How do I fix this issue?  My phone worked great until the most recent update, now it's sub-par.

Settings sometimes get changed after an OS update; have you gone to Settings > Display > LED Indicator and ensured it's turned on?

I never even saw that option, as I didn't look in display.  I kept looking in "notifications."  Thanks again!
