I use the message + app. I just replaced my phone using insurance. My last phone played the sound I wanted for all text messages, it was separate from the default notification sound. The replacement phone seems to not allow me to set a tone for messaging, except under settings>sounds>notification sounds. The messages tone selected is the one I want, but it does not play that sound when I receive a message on the Message+ app.
offbeatbassist, I’m sorry you are experiencing issues with your notifications. Just to clarify, are you trying to set a specific sound just for the Verizon Messaging App? What device do you have? Are regular notifications working?DeloresK_VZW
