Why don't I get e-mail notifications?

I'm not getting notifications for my emails or my Words game. Seems like only when it is charging do I get the Words notification but I have to open my email just get it refreshed. I missed an important email waiting for notification. Yes, it is turned on.

Within your mail application you can control how often the application checks for new emails and how long you keep the email synced to the device. You need to look into the setting for the specific account you want to adjust on the phone.

how often is your email syncing??

It only did it when I opened my mail box. Not sure if there is a setting for this. I have the new Samsung 7. Also, it keeps deleting my emails after only one week. I'd like to keep some of them.

I have shut my power saver off. That seems to help with the notification issue.

Thank you Ann154. I did not know I could click on the account name and find settings in there. After setting it all my past emails showed back up.

I'm wondering if having the power saved on did something to the notifications. Ever since I turned it off I've been getting notices from email and my Words game, just as I have it set up in my settings.
