I noticed about three days ago some of my messages have randomly disappeared. I think it might be by contact.

Thanks for reaching out. The app is called messages version 5.0.00.136.
The only pattern is that with certain contacts all their messages were
completely removed. So either I lost all the messages from certain contacts
while other contacts were not disturbed.

Have you noticed a pattern with the contacts whose messages were removed? Do you happen to know if the contacts are Android or Apple users? And did you make any changes to your device in between noticing the messages disappearing?
