Why is my device no longer in English?

Heard Asian language coming from my phone. Whole phone is now in Chinese or Japanese characters.  I'm assuming it was a hack but am hoping there's another solution besides hard reset.

And, i'd imagine that's Korean, given it's a Samsung.
