Why isn't my device charging normally?

Actually my phone is not charging at all with a factory oem hard wire, but will charge full capicity with a wireless charger. I have carfully cleaned the female conection on the phone with a plastic pick and found and removed hay particles,tried to get a visual on the contacts but unable to get a visual.

Abuot a month ago the tethered cover riped off. I understand that Verizon will send me a new one?

They will provide a replacement long as the device is under warranty coverage

Ziggy-59, being able to charge your device with the cord is pretty essential. Have you been able to try a different charging cord to see if that would work? This way we can see if it's more of a device related issue or a charging cord issue. Please keep us posted. KevinR_VZW

it's not a warranty item if what you were doing allowed something into the charging port.
