As a customer in good standing of almost 10 years, I understood the upgrade program to be an incentive to keep customers with the company. When I recently went to upgrade my S5 to an S7, the website directed me back to the S7 as one of the phones available for upgrade. However, when I looked at it the phone was only available on the monthly plan over the next 2 years. This is a good deal for someone who is just getting a phone and wants a good phone, but can't afford the large sticker price. But for someone who has been a customer for a long period of time, this just doesn't make sense. I use my upgrades as a means to provide phones to the young ones in my family just getting phones so they have good phones. But now I will be rethinking this, as there's no way I will be paying that amount for a phone for a pre-teen or teenager and my phone is perfectly fine for me for some time to come.
