Why won't my device connect after the update?

My phone does not connect to my actiontec screen beam mini 2 after marshmallow update. Samsung says its actiontec problem and actiontec says its verizon's problem. I need this fixed! I would rather go back to the old OS. Phone battery also seems to be draining faster.

Well it's been about 5 months since you replied. I have done everything I can think of and what I could find on the web, clear cache, reboot in safe mode, reset up device, etc. and nothing works. just got another software update this morning and although I haven't checked yet, I'm not optimistic about being able to connect.
I have found one solution to the problem but it requires root access and since I have an s5 on verizon's network I can't see if it works. I am not the only one with this problem and it's been about a year long problem. Verizon and Samsung have to be aware of the problem and since there is no fix as of yet, I have to imagine that this problem is by design

LITTLEARFY9. We want to make sure you have a working phone. We are here and will look into this situation for you. Can you tell up more about what happens when you try to connect? Here is a link to the actiontec screen beam mini 2 web site: http://bit.ly/2gzuyIv

You must know why I cannot connect to the screen beam mini 2, this is deliberate and willful on the part of verizon. I can give you all the specs of my galaxy S5, but that won't matter, you should be able to see everything anyway. You know the build number, the operating software I'm running, and I know you know that you need to give me the run around, i.e. Did you try a cache partition wipe? Just be honest and fess up that Verizon [Removed] and downgraded the usefulNess of my phone, probably because I'm still grandfathered into an unlimited data plan

We certainly value your time and want to get to the bottom of this LITTLEARFY9. Does the screen beam mini 2 require an app to work? If so, has the app been updated?

I know that S5's on other networks can connect to the screen beam mini 2, therefore it's not a Samsung or actiontec problem. Verizon is solely to blame. FIX IT!

Dude! I was having the exact same issue. For some reason after updating it will not work from their software (actiontec) but if you go straight into the smart view setting on your phone and have Wi-Fi on, boofreaking-ya!
I am so stoked. Was down for like a week but Joe at actiontec helped me. What a stud.
On my Samsung s7 smartview is found by pulling down the top menu and scrolling over to the right and there it is. Make sure Wi-Fi is on also in the top menu. You may have to pull down twice to get the top menu to fully drop open.
