Why won't my phone recognize my SIM card?

My Samsung Galaxy S4 was working fine this morning, when all of a sudden it said it didn't recognize my SIM card? I have shut it off and taken out the SIM card numerous times, sometimes leaving it out for a half hour at a time, but it still won't recognize it. What is going on? How have you guys resolved this?

That's odd KellyC84! Certainly, we need to fix this ASAP! Is there any device damage, physical or moisture? Does this happen when you run a specific app? If it's very random, we can replace the SIM card at any of our stores http://vz.to/1qsYSkN.
