Wifi Disconnects!!

This has been an ongoing issue since buying my S7! It constantly disconnects from wifi, whether it be my wifi at home, wifi at my parents, wifi out in public, etc. I have rebooted my router, reset my wifi settings in my phone, contacted my Internet provider, googled myself silly, all to no avail! Multiple times a day I have to disconnect and reconnect my wifi on my phone or it just stops loading pages and tells me I have no connection. These phones are way too expensive to be complete junk! No one else has this issue in my household, so it is definitely exclusive to my S7!

My phone connects fine but it just drops off the wifi until I pick it up and reconnect it.In the settings under advanced I have keep wifi on during sleep always.Had the same settings on my S5 and never had this problem

Help is here! We surely want to make sure you’re able to stay connected to wifi. All the troubleshooting that you have done on your own is greatly appreciated. I just want to clarify, did this issue start to happen immediately after purchasing the phone? Do you find that the wifi disconnects when you are doing something specific?

Hmm. I want to say that it did in fact start almost immediately after purchasing the phone, but I can't say for sure. I'm sure if it did, I more than likely discounted it to user error while getting familiar with my new device. I spend most of my time on Facebook, Gmail, and Google Search widget, all of which give me issues with wifi. For example, trying to refresh my Gmail. Gmail will open fine, but when I try to refresh it by pulling down, it will not reload. It just continuously shows the reloading icon but never actually refreshes. I hope what I'm trying to describe makes sense! Thank you for any help you can provide!

My wife and I use Motorola phones, Maxx and Turbo 2 respectively, and we have experienced the same wifi disconnect issues as described here. We noticed that it occurred for us when we each, at different times, accepted the latest Verizon wireless OS update (forced via those obnoxious daily reminders.)

While not wanting to sound conspiratorial, this hints to Verizon, via their last OS update, embedding some sort of wifi disconnect "bug" into our phones to drive higher non-wifi data usage and therefore a need on the part of the customer to use more plan data, driving a need to upgrade their data plan to a higher level or pay additional data overage fees. Follow the money.
