Wifi not working since I updated my Galaxy S5.

I can't turn wifi on, won't allow me to move the slider to on and when it does allow me, it goes right back to the off position. Any suggestions?

I’m sorry to hear this happened after the recent update, Kath442. Software updates should be making your phone run better not worse. Let’s make sure this gets resolved. Is this happening every time you attempt to turn on WiFi regardless of networks you try to connect to? Please share details so we can isolate the root cause.


Since this happened after the update we will want to test it out in safe mode. Safe mode is a diagnostic mode that disables third party applications. If the issue doesn’t duplicate in safe mode we will know the issue is related to an application not being optimized with the new software. I have included the steps below. Please keep us posted.

Safe mode and two factory restores did not work.  Wifi is still not working.

Help..  I don't want to get a different phone, this was an upgrade problem!
