Will my Galaxy s6 work in Israel?

I'm traveling to Israel in a month and I want to know will the Verizon version of the s6 work there? I plan on getting a Sim from a carrier there I'm not so clear on how these things work

Should work in GSM voice mode with local sim card, but not full function with all S6 Verizon features.
