Less than 2 months ago I upgraded from the iphone4 to the galaxys5. I went in to my Verizon store 3 or 4 times before purchase just to make sure it was going to be exactly what I needed. I use my phone all day for work teaching voice lessons so battery life and sound quality were important and I was reassured that galaxy had a better battery life and far better sound quality than iphone. Well.. the battery was great for the first 3 weeks. Last night I had 37% battery left when I set up for a 4 hour gig, I closed out all my apps, turned ultra power saving mode on and locked it and after not touching my phone for those four hours I had 7% battery left. This morning I took my phone off the charger at 100% battery and after 3 hours of not touching it, it went down to 70%. If i had known it was going to be this bad i would've stayed with iphone, and would go back now if i could.
When i got the phone and started usin it for work to play karaoke tracks for my students i noticed the volume level was drastically lower than i phone. Plugged into my car stereo with the volume all the way up on both phone and car it is still only moderate volume. Thought it was a galaxy thing until my friend used his in my car and it worked just fine.
Stuck with awful battery life and broken headphone jack.
Needless to say, Not happy about this purchase.
