Help, All the sudden my phone showed an icon at the top of the screen indicating "blank sd card or has unsupported files". The worst part is that all of my photos are now gone. I took out the card & plugged it into my laptop and to see if the pictures were there, but it said the card was blank. Any suggestions? I had so many photos, totally bummed right now.

Google SDcard recovery programs for the PC; there are a lot of good free ones available (e.g. photorec.exe), do not pay money for one. Mount your SDcard in your PC and run the recovery program and see if it finds anything. Then reformat the card before you use it again, or better yet buy new a class 4 or 6 card. Many devices have problems with a class 10 card.

I fixed my Samsung like this:
NOTE: When removing an SD card, it is best to unmount it, turn off the phone, then remove it.
I tried every reset option under the sun right down to the removal of the sim card, battery and SD card.
Eventually, I put a blank SD card into my phone and added files to that as required... music, etc.
To recover my files on the apparent bad SD card, I used the USB miniSD card adapter. (The normal SD card adapter did not work.)
I figure there is a bad boot file on the SD card, so I copied all of my files from the bad SD card to my PC. I re-formatted the SD card, and it appears that this cleared the bad file from that card.
