can not get the message to notifiy me

I go into message +

3 dots

customization

Tone ( it brings up Zedge)

I select notifications

Select a notification and it put a large green check mark

I select set notification

It then take me to Customization screen and it show the old notification not the new one.

Either way The phone will not notify me when a message come in. Pop up works but no audible notification happens

Try going to the PHONE settings, Sounds and Notifications, and set the Message tone there, and be sure the Message+ app is set as the default messaging app. That should translate to the app using the tone you set.

My daughter suggested I install a different msg app and set it as default. then uninstall new app and set back to old app. She said it worked for her. did not for me.

Uninstalled Zedge, Installed Textra. no luck

reinstalled Zedge and changed the notification in Textra to a Zedge notification and it then Textra notification worked.

Rebooted in between each change.

I have the same problem. Ever since the update I get no blinking light notifications and its very annoying. I even tried installing a different texting app and same thing.
