When you get ready to activate a new 4G LTE phone, you'll need a new SIM card (they're free at Corporate Verizon stores).

Hello macoradi5,

That is a great question! No worries, nothing will happen at all. I understand how important it is to be cautious when activating a new device. When switching from a 3G to 4G device, your SIM will be locked for 24 hours. After the 24 hours, your SIM will be fine. Now, we do offer reusable SIM cards. When you get your new 4G device, all you will need to do is pop in your old SIM. There is no need to go to a store to get a new one. A new 4G SIM is not needed. As long as there is no damage to your old SIM everything will be fine.

I'm glad I was able to clarify your inquiry today. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to let us know, thanks!
