We want to ensure you are able to use your phone without any issues aldesi. When did these error messages start appearing on your phone? Were their any recent changes made to your phone when this started? Just to clarify are you using the Samsung S7 or S7 Edge?
Thank You,

Im experiencing the same thing. Verizon has no clue. They always say need to put you on hold so they can research it. I was told the overlay feature was added at the last system update which was in early July. We've done network resets, a hard reset and the latest a factory reset. It didn't work and had to download everything back on my phone after this. They don't know how to resolve the issue. I've contacted Samsung and they told me how to turn it off but there is nothing in settings about screen overlay. This is such [removed]. Can't use my apps or add pictures to a message or in email and other social apps

We know this has been an issue for alot of our customers, BRIBIE78. We want to make sure you are getting the best service and your phone is working as it should. The
Screen overlay is an application that cover part or all of the screen while another application is in the foreground.
To disable this, when the Screen Overlay Detected message pop up, follow the prompt and select Open Settings in the lower right corner of the pop up, and slide to turn off the overlay for all apps in the list. This is an Android Marshmallow experience and working as designed.
