email settings

I need assistance on setting up my email where my contacts aren't going into my trash folder. Some emails are going into my trash from my contacts, i contacted ATT since i have ATT Uverse internet. They told me to check my settings on my phone that it was not my email acct. setting on my home pc but possibly on my phone email settings. I went into settings but don't see a setting to change how emails are set.

Email problems can be frustrating, especially when your messages are going straight into your trash. Let's see what's going on.

So when did this start happening? Did you recently change any settings on your Are you using any 3rd party application for checking e-mails or is this the default one? Have you deleted and re-added the e-mail account? You must have a Gmail account on the device. Is this happening with the same contacts on the Gmail account or any other account you may have on the phone? I would recommend removing the account and re-adding it on the phone as that will give you all the default settings from the provider. Then please keep us posted.
