quite often I will get a flashing what looks like an eye in my status bar. It will flash for a few times then goes out. I do not see anywhere what this is. Dose anyone know? thanks

The flashing eye is a setting that lets you know the screen illumination will go out in a few seconds unless you look directly at the screen. There is a setting to turn the screen light off after a certain amount of time, for example 1 minute. There is a setting to override this if you are looking directly at the screen the camera sensor detects that you are looking at the screen and will keep the display illuminated. This is useful if you are watching a video and don't want to every minute touch the screen to keep from turning off. To turn off or on this feature go to settings>go to display>go to smart stay and turn on or off.
