how can I get voicemail notification on my samsung galaxy 7

I have set up my voice mail and had no problem setting up voice mail. However, I do not receive a voicemail notification when I receive a voicemail. I have to call my voicemail randomly and see if I have any messages. As a medical assistance I have lost so many messages and this is not good. dos any one have any help or advise..........please

settings/notifications....select voice mail & any others you want notifications for.
