The S5 uses a micro SIM and the S6 uses a nano SIM, so you could order a SIM card adapter from somewhere like Amazon and then just move the SIM card over.  Otherwise, you'll need a new SIM card that's the correct size; they're free at your local Corporate VzW store or by contacting Customer Service (although they may charge a shipping fee to mail it to you).

Activating your previous phone is very simple Cynthia. As indicated by tikibar1 (thanks!), you will need a SIM card that fits your previous device. SIM card are free at corporate Verizon Wireless stores, please enter your ZIP code at this link to find a store near you: vzw.com/Stores
We can also mail you a SIM card free of charge if you contact our Social Media team at your convenience. You can reach out to us on Twitter at https://twitter.com/vzwsupport or on Facebook at http://fb.me/verizon and click on the customer support tab.
