how to disable text message from showing in notification bar

Hello - I just purchased my galaxy s6 on yesterday. Could you please tell me how do I disable the text message from showing up in my notification bar. If someone has my phone for any reason, I do not want them to see the sender of the text message or see a preview of the text message. And before telling me to go to messages>more>settings>notifications>pop up display, I already tried that. Please help. Thanking you in advance

Congratulations on the recent purchase of the new Galaxy S6. I hope that outside of the texting the device is easy and fun to use. Thank you for including the steps that you have tried already as we don't want to have you going through the same thing twice. Are you using the regular messaging application or Message+? If you are using Message + you can try this step to see if this stops the text from showing in the notifications bar. Go to Message+>3 lined Menu button in the upper left hand corner>Settings>Uncheck Notifications. You can also check to see if Enable Popup is checked if you scroll further down. Try testing this step to see if it provides the results you are looking for. Please keep us posted if this works for you or not.

Hello, I have the same problem as @housingstar. I am using the regular messaging application and cannot find how to disable the text message from showing up on the notification bar. I've looked everywhere in the settings and want to believe that there isnt a way to do this. Please advise!
