PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!!
Verizon does not lock 4G LTE devices, and no code is needed to program them for use with another carrier. However “unlocking” a device will not necessarily make a device interoperable with other networks – a device designed for one network is not made technologically compatible with another network merely by “unlocking” it. Additionally, unlocking a device may enable some functionality of the device but not all, an unlocked device may support voice services but not data services when activated on a different network). This S5 will not operate on the T mobile GSM system as normal. sorry , Galaxy Class
Do you know that you can use your Verizon S5 on another carrier?
i wanna use it for t-mobile but they told me that i had to get it unlocked before i could get my account switched over to it?
It may only partially work. Different bands frequencies and all that. More than likely, you'd wind up buying a phone from them anyway.
so basically what your saying is no that it cant be done?
im confused been trying to find answers on switching carriers without getting a new phone from t mobile all day i have an account with mobile i got the S5 from my buddy who just got a new S5 from Verizon and i wanna use it for t mobile so is it possible to do? can you elaborate please
thank you
what carriers could be used?
When you talk about a Verizon phone...I know of none. You just have to look at the specs for the phones. This is an EXAMPLE. I use the iPhone 5S for this EXAMPLE.
can it be used on walmarts straight talk services?
I have no Idea. StraightTalk does weird stuff with splitting voice on one network and data on another.
thanks you two for the help
Yes, no problem with Straight Talk and on a CDMA system. good night...
Man, on that note, have you seen the cost of an LG G3 on Straight Talk?
