Verizon does not lock 4G LTE devices, and no code is needed to program them for use with another carrier. However “unlocking” a device will not necessarily make a device interoperable with other networks – a device designed for one network is not made technologically compatible with another network merely by “unlocking” it.  Additionally, unlocking a device may enable some functionality of the device but not all, an unlocked device may support voice services but not data services when activated on a different network). This S5 will not operate on the T mobile GSM system as normal.    sorry , Galaxy Class

It may only partially work.  Different bands frequencies and all that.  More than likely, you'd wind up buying a phone from them anyway.

When you talk about a Verizon phone...I know of none.  You just have to look at the specs for the phones.  This is an EXAMPLE.  I use the iPhone 5S for this EXAMPLE.

  • AT&T          Model A1533 (GSM)*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)
  • VERIZON    Model A1533 (CDMA)*: CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)

I have no Idea.  StraightTalk does weird stuff with splitting voice on one network and data on another.

Man, on that note, have you seen the cost of an LG G3 on Straight Talk?

  • Number of payments: 12
  • Upfront payment due today: $0.00 - $75.00*
  • 11 remaining lease payments of: $95.00 - $102.00*
  • Total for all lease payments: $ 1122.0

  • That's a big bag of NO!!!
