keyboard suddenly changed

As of today I noticed my keyboard changed and I didn't change the settings on it.  I went to settings, language and input, and the Google voice typing is checked and highlighted.  The Samsung keyboard and Swype are checked but shaded out.  I can go to settings but there isn't anything to change.  Even if I uncheck them there is no change . The keyboard is NOT the same one I had before with the choco cooky font and I could get to my smilies by clicking the 1/3 and 2/3 keys.  This keyboard is a boxy font and getting to the smilies is just like the old keyboard I had on my LG Ally.  It's so yesterday and I don't like it :-/.  How do I get the keyboard back that I had before that has the choco cooky font like the rest of my phone?

Mine did that and I had to download a new keyboard from Googleplay.

MINE DID TOO. IT IS SO ANNOYING. I have been googling for about an hour and still found nothing. I don't want to download other keyboard or anything. The keyboard we had before the jelly bean update was JUST FINE. I WANT MY CHOCO COOKY KEYBOARD BACK. The dull one we have right now is so ugly! VERIZON FIX THIS!

I just noticed the same thing. I was using Swiftkey3, which is a keyboard I downloaded and paid for through the Play Store.  When I go into my settings, I still see Swiftkey3 and the radio button next to it is checked, but it's still using the SWYPE keyboard.  I don't like SWYPE!

That happened to my Casio GzOne shortly after I got it.  I had to download one from Google Play because the other wouldn't work at all.
