outlook announces new email by voice

I can't figure out how to keep my phone from announcing new emails, using outlook. This is really annoying when I get a 'new email' announcement at 3 am!

Anyone know how to turn this off?

Dtroutman, I can understand how that can be frustrating. Have you tried going to Settings>Sound>Default Notifications? If not, please try it and keep us posted.

Double check to see if perhaps you have phone in "driving mode" where you receive audible notifications for calls, emails, etc. Happened to me the first day I had my phone while I was in the chair at my dentist's office.

P.S. By any chance, is your avatar a mini schnauzer?

Thanks for the lead.  It fixed my problem. 

Actually, it is a Scottish Terrier.  I have 2, brother and sister, (Pete and Sophie)
