I have very few apps on my phone and just yesterday it started feeling very warm and then the battery life started being minimal. I had installed one app pervious to this problem and have since uninstalled it but Im still having the problem.

I can imagine how this change in your phone can be of concern. I recommend checking any other changes made to the phone outside of the app download that you now removed.
