problem with receiving/sending messaging

for the last 3 weeks ive had to restart my phone numerous times. its slow and laggy when i use the messages. if i sent a reg no pic text it can take up to 15 mins for it to say the text sent. and the person may receive it doubled. pic texts are fine. at the same time I receive doubles as well. i dont understand why. can someone help me?

You may need to clear out a few message threads, especially if you either have never done so, or it's been a while.

thanks, I just did it and sent like 5 messages. they all sent right away. hopefully that was the problem! cuz goin on 3 weeks with the lag has been horrible! lol

nope the deletion of text messages didn't work. as soon as I took it off safe mode, its taking forever to send messages again. 😕

If it worked in safe mode, then you have an app conflict.  What messaging app are you using?

the regular messaging. I was using a special keyboard app but I stopped that hoping it was that.
