What kind of ads are you getting? Are they from your browser or are they from 1 particular app?
VZW doesn't put ads on their phones. Apps do. In most cases you can't stop the ads.

abdllock plus works well with chrome browser!!
For me the ads pop up no matter what I am doing. I don't know where they are coming from. I turned off some ads on Google but not all of them turned off. I will try an ad blocker I guess.
