search results proxy?

Question

When connected to company wifi, search results are blocked by my companies web filter.  IT says they think the reason is that there is a proxy server involved and proxies are blocked.  Search results from the search tool, from www.google.com, and www.bing.com are all blocked.  www.google.com and www.bing.com are not blocked, but any results returned are.  https://www.google.com can return results however.  I can find no proxy settings in any settings menus.  My IT department suggested Verizon may be intercepting searches.  Is this true?

when you are on your companies WiFi, you are not on Verizon's network, so there is no way Verizon  is intercepting the searches.

Are you using the Google Search Bar at the top of the phone, or going to the websites in the browser to conduct the searches?

If you are using the search bar, try opening a browser and search Google and Bing directly from the browser. See if you get results that way. If not, while on Bing or Google, press the menu and request desktop site and try again. If that works, then your company doesn't like mobile sites. When you use the browser to go to Bing, you go to the mobile site. When you go to Google, you go to a Google mobile type site too. That might be the problem.
