system keeps sending a recurring text message from me with a film strip icon next to it?

Every few weeks I see a text message appear in one of my conversations that appears to be sent by me, however the other person does not receive this message and I am absolutely not sending this message at the time. The message content is the same each time the message gets sent (it was a previous text I sent to someone) and it has a tiny film strip icon next to the time stamp. Can someone explain why the same text would be appearing in one of my conversations as if I sent it at that time but never did? Also, why doesn't the other person see the message and what does the film strip icon mean?

The icon is not a film strip, it's your SIM card. Sounds like a message that was saved to your SIM card, perhaps a contact stored on the SIM too. Check your contacts screen and tap menu. Select "Contacts to Display." Choose SIM. If that contact is on the SIM, it will show. You can also power down, take out sim, reinsert after a minute and power on, maybe the card isn't being read correctly. You can also get a free SIM from a Verizon store.

This is very odd vzwandroiduser. Your phone should not be having this issue but we will do what we can to get it fixed. Are you using a 3rd party messaigng application that you downloaded? Have you tried deleting some of your old/long text threads you no longer need? Does it happen with one specific contact or is it random?

Can you attach a screen shot?

Attached are screen shots, one is of the actual text and one is the message

detail indicating "hidden sender."

I am only using the messaging app the phone came with (no 3rd party) and

this only happens with one contact particularly with the same text. This

happened before and after texts were deleted. I included screen shots in

my previous response.

Is this Via the Verizon Messaging App or using the Standard Messaging app that comes preloaded on the phone..
