texting app freezing since nougat update. Anyone know how to fix this?

Since the nougat update my phone has basically frozen almost every day. Sometimes won't turn on and when it does its in the camera app. Texting freezes and the bottom half of the screen goes blank. Have already done a factory re-install and that didn't fix anything.
