I just recently learner that some people receive my large text messeges in segments and they have to wait until the whole thing comes in and it does not come in order always. Is this a common occurrence and why does the largest currier of cell phone communication, so they say, have to break up a text messege instead of sending the whole thing at once and in order as it was typed.

Most texts are 160 characters or less; some phones support up to 1000-character texts. So depending on the carrier/phone you're sending texts to, if the messages are over 160 characters, they may be broken into several texts. If you are consistently sending large texts, you may want to switch to e-mail instead
