My Samsung S8 died. Took it to Ubreakifix. Diagnosed w/a bad board, no hope for revival w/o an extremely expensive fix. I was eligible for an upgrade so ordered a new Samsung A50. I got the new phone yesterday only to discover that I apparently need to turn on old phone and download an app for content transfer to new phone. I cannot turn on old phone to accomplish this. Is there an alternative method? Such as removing old sim card and putting in new phone?
