I connected both phones, like it said with the USB cord. The S7 got up to 99% searching the G5 for content and seemed to be locked up at 99%. @

garfdallas, Getting a new phone is an exciting time. It shouldn’t come with issues, but I’m here to assist. What software are you using to transfer data from your old device to your new one? Do you get any errors when the percentage gets to 99? How many times has this happened?

It happened on all of the 5 times I tried this, including the time I tried it while doing an On-Line chat with one of your techs. As far as software, that would be whatever software is/was loaded on the S7 and S5. I connected the 2 phones per the instructions, ie,with the power cord from the S5. It NEVER did work, so I had to get my files onto my new S7 the hard way, including a twenty mile drive to a Verizon store so that someone there could help me with procuring one of my favorite necessary apps. As far as being able to transfer any information from my S5 to my S7 via connected cable... That never happened. Please do not ask me why, as I have no idea. But I do wish it had worked. That would have been so much easier.
