Since the latest update from Verizon whenever I connect to Wifi it connects then drops back to 4G right away. When I turn off the mobile data the wifi will connect again. This was never the case prior to the update.

Phone model?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I'm having the same issue...same phone too. I want to use WiFi to save on data usage as I share my data on family plan. Am I still using data when this happens? They both are on right now. So when I use internet, etc, am I pulling from my data or is the WiFi taking precedence even though the 4G is on too???

Hi Scrappyman13. That fantastic update was intended to make your S3 experience better, not cause troubles. Is this happening when you're connecting to one specific WiFi, or is it any WiFi you've tried since the update? When it seems to drop the WiFi, do you see any error message? Let's start by removing http://vz.to/Qqsrpw and readding http://vz.to/VVj91g your WiFi connection. Also, try rebooting the battery http://vz.to/UwOaYo and SIM http://vz.to/V5RXCf to refresh your phone since the update.
Thank you

To Verizon Support,
As you MUST be well aware by now, there is a large and impacting issue with the recent software update on the SIII. There is nothing physically wrong with our phones and most of us have already performed hard resets and numerous 'other' fixes to no avail. So while we realize that Verizon is working at it's usual pace to correct the issue, most of us are left with virtually useless phones, as the area I need my phone the most NOW has no data connection, where before I was working perfectly.
I would like to know if you will be offering refunds on our monthly plans until the problem is fixed?
I think morally and legally this would be the best thing to do.
Your thoughts please would be appreciated?
