As I sit here completely dependent on my phone.. I traded my blackberry for the something new.. turns out, the store apparently never tested.. or possibly activated the phone.. it only works on wi-fi which was deceptive enough till I left for work today.
is there anything I can do since getting server after the purchase does not seem as easy as prior.
Thanks - bp

Same here. Just one week and I am getting crazy. I do not want to return it, since I ported my number from t-mobile and I do not want to lose it.

We definitely need to get your new Nexus up and running! I have a few suggestions that may get you operable.
1) Remove the battery.
2) Remove the SIM.
3) Power on the phone without the SIM.
4) Wait a minute or so.
5) Power down the phone and insert the SIM.
6) Power it back on & retest.
7) Go to Settings> Turn off Wi-Fi> More> Mobile Networks> Ensure Data is enabled (checked)> and Data Roaming is checked. Retest.
Let me know if that helps any. Post any updates or solutions you may have run across to help out the community.

I did the battery thing.. but will try with pulling the sim and powering
This phone is in CDMA should it be set to CDMA/LTE?
IT also seems that as soon as I get 4 bars and attempt a call, it drops all
bars, and tells me no signal. then about 3-4 minutes later I get the bars
back..
I have the larger battery charged to 100% and it also does it plugged into
an AC outlet.
Thoughts?
